ReSound

ReSound is another global leader in hearing technology based out of Denmark. Founded in 1943, ReSound own several hearing aid brands (ReSound, Danavox, Rexton) and develop quality clinical test equipment and infrastructure systems for the Audiology industry. ReSound's latest innovation is called LiNX, one of only two products that results from collaboration with Apple to develop a Made for iPhone hearing device that offers unparalleled user customisation in real time.

Behind the scenes
In Australia and New Zealand, the large clinic chains called National Hearing, National Hearing Care, Bay Audio and Bay Audiology are partners to ReSound who recommend their products above others. If an unbiased expert opinion is important to you, it is difficult to expect this at any hearing clinic chain so we recommend finding an independent clinic near you.

Siemens|Sivantos

Siemens Signia Nx is the new sound processing chip platform on the latest generation of “BestSound Technology”.  Primax simulates the effects of binaural (two ears) hearing and brings these advantages back to the wearer in such a way that they claim is better than having normal hearing when in a noisy environment.

Behind the Scenes
Siemens has recently part sold it's hearing technology division to an investment company and renamed to Sivantos. In Australia, they hold the majority government contract to supply hearing instruments under the Office Hearing Services (OHS) Voucher scheme, therefore, most Siemens products in Australia are fitted to aged pensioners under that system.
